Steamboat Springs, Day 3

Got out earlier this morning and got a full day in this time. By 4:00pm, I was done. Actually rode the gondola back down the mountain instead of riding down. In the afternoon the trails start to get icy and with my rubbery legs that was an ugly accident waiting to happen ( Read more... )

you don't need an iron for a p-tex repair... just a p-tex candle and a lighter.

Right, I had that with me. To do the repair I would need to clean the entire area (a very large one at that) and re-wax the surrounding area. I had nothing to reapply the wax.

Anyway, the shop down the road charges $40 overnight for a full grind and tune. This 3 year old board has never had a major tune up like this and figured it was due. It will be ready at 0800.

No snow in the forecast--booooo. :(

None of my days have been bad. They would be so much better though with some fresh powder. :)
