The winter storm that was not

As usual, the first sign of any snow or nasty winter weather to hit our area is greeted with panic and everlasting news coverage. What happened? Rain. Cold rain. Actually, I did get up at 0500 to peek out the window and noticed light snow coming down, but it was still 38°F and pretty much gave up then this would not amount to anything

Hell, even rain gets wall-to-wall news coverage around here anymore. It's why I don't watch network TV.
