El Chepe train trip can start in Chihuahua, Chihuahua and end in Los Mochis, Sinaloa or you can do the reverse, with some stops along the way. Some of those stops involve staying at some beautiful lodges that rest precariously close to the edge of the Copper Canyon. I love traveling to Mexico and I've been several times. Chihuahua, Mexico has never really been on my "tourist destination" list. I've always considered it a more industrialized part of Mexico, but considering the El Chepe, the Barrancas del Cobre (Copper Canyon) train trip it may have become one now.
