Triumph of technology or extremely silly?

I know at least a couple of people with synesthesia, but they tend to experience sounds and words as different colors. This is the first time I've heard of a case involving the sense of touch.

And all these years I thought Twain was American. Silly me.

God, I miss The Daily Show and that hottie Jon Stewart. But I'm willing to put off my fix until its writers get a fair shake. This DS writer summed up the WGA's demands rather nicely:

I'm sick of hearing how "amazing" it is that relatively few people died from the southern California fires. I doubt the families and friends of the dead think it's so "amazing."

Just heard on a large NYC radio station: "Who says women can't park?"

That was the lead sentence of a story on the (female) shuttle commander's smooth docking with the international space station.

Now, please excuse me while I go smack a few newswriters upside the head.

The New York Times says Alberto Gonzales has resigned.
