There's not much any of us can do right now at this point. Let's just hope the two idiots who got stranded manage to find something before we get steamrolled.

It's not something I'm going to set aside time to do, but I will keep a lookout for anything out of the ordinary.
I don't think it's really your job to "deal with them personally." Shouldn't you be worrying about other things besides how you're going to torture any trouble-makers? Besides, at this point, could we really call the person a traitor? Although most of us wouldn't be so stupid as to pull something like this, but we are pirates. Someone on board might think it is perfectly in their realm of rights on this ship to kill a town full of people. Maybe we should create a ship constitution to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

Acting without orders in a manner which serves us no purpose and brings the whole damned world down on us? That's unforgivable foolishness at best, and probably treason. If someone here did it, they are responsible not only for the deaths in Doma, but the consequences to this crew.
[ooc: He knows it's not his job, but he's dealing with being hurt by being pissed, and doesn't trust anyone else to make it painful enough :|]

I just like hearing you get all worked up about these things, Hijikata. It makes me feel safe to know that someone as big and as strong as you is watching over us!
[[OOC: And Gorobei would like to focus Hijikata's annoyance on himself, because he doubts Zou will actually inflict too much pain on him. :D]]

I'm not in the mood for your jokes, Katayama.
[OOC: Well, Hijikata's angry, but he can distinguish between 'annoyance' and 'probably-psychopathic traitor', so yeah, Gorobei's comparatively safe...]

I believe we haven't quite come to a decision on this.
I'm not so sure which way to go myself. Obviously refusing to cooperate will make us look more obvious, but even if we go a long with the interrogations, and are proven to be innocent of Doma, doubtless we'll still be held responsible for the transgressions we have committed.

It's not a decision to make too quickly. There's a lot to be considered.
Worth noting is the possibility that those who are inclined to blame us will most likely do so whether we show up or not, and those who are inclined to support us, such as they are, may interpret us not going as a justified attempt to protect ourselves from a legal system that occasionally seems to operate purely on convenience. However...with as few people willing to see things from our point of view as there are right now, that possibility isn't enough to bank on.
Personally, I believe that going back would be best avoided if possible, but we have to consider where we'd go, and how long we'd have to lie low. It might not be plausible to disappear for too long... If that's the case, it would be better to go immediately, and not arouse further suspicion by delaying.

Yes. I doubt laying low will do us much good, and if we're found outside Vohemar we'll just be sitting ducks for Ivona's ships to find. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to find us before Vohemar does. I'd rather go to Berum than have to deal with Ivona's own "fair and balanced justice."

[He sounds stressed and tired]
We all want to hope that none of ours could have done this. But the possibility has to be examined thoroughly. Turning your back on ugly truths just leaves them all the more capable of striking you down without warning.

Agreed but losing sleep over this matter will not help this situation become any better. Hijikata, I am certain we can clear our names. If someone aboard this ship is the perpetrator behind this, then we will find them and hand them over to the proper authorities.
If not, we will need to do some information gathering of our own to put an end to these ridiculous allegations.
Either way, it will take sometime before either plans are put into motion.

Good. I have no intention of letting someone get away with this.
Naturally. I'll expect the same discretion from you.

Although, I am rather certain that none of the members aboard this ship could have done this.
Or perhaps I am merely being hopeful.

I'm not so concerned about my name or anyone else's as I am about our safety. But either way...We will remedy this. Or I will die trying.
