I watched "Across The Universe" tonight in its cable premiere. That movie always looked interesting to me when I would see the previews for it at the dollar movies a while back. I was reading an article at io9 I think.. where they asked what Indy should do next since they have allegedly strayed into Sci-Fi territory in "The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull". I just read an article where a person was making up rules as to what is campy in Sci-Fi as to propose to remove it. Well, there are certain things that are too campy in my opinion.. the old Flash Gordon movie was the epitome of campiness. There is such a thing as too much camp. I saw the display for Blade Runner The Final Cut on DVD at wally world recently and I was so tempted to buy it. The display looked awesome like they made photorealistic high res renderings of the characters and scenes and made a huge box out of them to display the movies it was pretty slick and made me long for the movie ( Read more... )
