Ya'll, I am developing a serious Clint Barton Problem. I know what Tumblr is now. It is the thing that gives me pretty pictures of Clint Barton to look at when I should be studying. Or sleeping. Like now.

PS: Is there a female Avenger anywhere, ever, that he hasn't banged? Or is going to bang in the next month or two?

A Clint Barton Problem is totally just a sign of your good taste! (I am not at all biased in this judgment and do not have a similar problem. No.)

And really, nobody has time to sleep with all the female Avengers. (Admittedly it's less of a challenge than sleeping with all the male ones, but still.) Actually, for a character who's been around for more than forty years, Hawkeye doesn't have a very extensive dating history--the man's a romantic at heart.

See, I think that is part of why I adore him so much - he just WANTS to be in love. Women just keep breaking his heart ( ... )

Yes, totally. I mean, most guys, you lead them into betraying their country and becoming a supervillain (assuming they are the kind of guys for whom this is a bad thing), they would be done with you. But Clint's love is true! (Also, I don't know if this was clear from Wikipedia, but he knew Mockingbird for maybe a week before getting married.)

Black Widow - Origin story; she used him to steal Tony Stark's tech and then sort of disappeared, leaving him behind. Cue mutual silent angst.

Sometimes it was noisy angst. Because...Hawkeye. But yeah.

Scarlet Witch - So it appears that he just wanted to date her and she went for Wonder Man/Vision over him so he stomped off and quit the Avengers?

That's basically what happened, although he claimed the actual quitting was because he wanted to work as a solo operative instead of getting lost amid a mob of supers. Have a download of the relevant issue!

Mockingbird - Who died on him. After the Phantom- ( ... )

Hawkeye and Wasp - Chuck Austen, the writer before Bendis (whom I loathe on Avengers), decided to bring up the "Hank Pym slapped Janet" thing from decades before (it had been resolved by writer Kurt Busiek as happening during a period of serious mental instability for Hank - alas, something he's kinda prone to - for which they'd separated, he'd begged forgiveness, they'd gotten back together, broke up again, rinse, repeat, recycle ( ... )

Have you watched the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoons? I love them, and Clint is awesome in it.

OMG! They are darling! I have seen through episode 21 and while Clint is my FAVORITE, the others are really the most lovable versions of themselves. I love how Hawkeye totally wants to be leader and was SO BETRAYED by Black Widow and went so gaga over Bobbi. It fills me with hearts!

Have you seen the animated movie from 2008, Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow? It's the Avengers' kids and Hawkeye Junior is just a little carbon copy of his dad. I am madly in love with all 75 minutes of it and have watched it maybe 3 times this week. *cough*
