...Taking Prentiss or JJ prompts. No promises on results, I'm just looking for ideas for something to entertain me while I draft my letter to CBS. Everything in progress is too fraught right now and I'd like to write something under 20,000 words for once.

I have made no progress whatsoever on mine. (Well. I did write 500 words of a Stonehenge Apocalypse/Highlander crossover. But I count that as anti-progress.)

I would love something where JJ and Hotch are just hanging on by fingernails not to give in, but then they do. Maybe a hug lasts a little too long, or staring at each other across the room, or whatever.

*HUGS* (Okay, srsly? I can't decide if I need to laugh or weep at you.)

I have a Plan for this. I even have a googledoc. I am writing this letter, too, so it is going slowly. On both fronts. But oh yes. (Randomly, do you want share-age on either? You get to watch me type in one word at a time very slowly but you know! It's company?)

I may have to take a break and find a JJ icon.

Oh, please laugh at me. I do enough weeping on this end. (I DO NOT KNOW what is wrong with my brain. I mean, I'd be delighted by all the ideas I get, if only I could actually produce for them. Or even if they were for, you know, fiction that I could publish. Or fanfic that more than three people would read. *facepalm*)

And yes! I totally want shareage. And I will buck up and pick a project and then I will share with you, too. *g*

Maybe? What are the times? I am generally not a party person on Friday night but it's actually better than Saturday this week so...this is a possibility.

I feel this clone thing. I'm supposed to be studying for the bar, too, in addition to the full-time working and the crazy shit and I am just done.

I too loved reccea's story!

I haven't watched CM in ages (and with the latest, I feel quite happy to keep it that way), so maybe something old-skool? I don't remember if we got to see any of JJ & Prentiss's relationship when Prentiss first joined the team, so this may be 100% contradicted by canon, but I'm imagining JJ being supportive of Prentiss early on, using some of her locals management skills to make Prentiss feel comfortable. Or perhaps later on, JJ & Prentiss out after a case. Cuz of course my brain immediately goes to the JJ/Prentiss place (tho, is JJ married now? I missed all of that - I barely saw Prentiss and never saw Rossi when I was watching regularly, tho I've caught a bit of a rerun with him. Just about everything I know about Prentiss & Rossi comes from your fic...).

Hmmm, actually I remember JJ being freaked out and suspicious of Prentiss in Revelations because she was compartmentalizing too well. I bet she tries to make up for it later? (I mean, attacked by dogs. JJ was not in her best frame of mind and would want to make up for that.) There is tons of JJ/Prentiss out there, although I've only read a little bit. JJ is...the actress got pregnant so they brought back a local LEO she'd flirted with in an earlier ep as the baby's father and alleged they'd been sneaking away on weekends to see each other, and he gave up his job and moved up to the DC area from New Orleans to be with her. And there's a scene where Garcia's looking at her new ring and she says, "It's [the baby's] birthstone. Will and I both got one." But she's wearing it on her right hand. So I think they sort of agreed to be committed and together and raise the baby together but didn't get married. My dad, of course, read that as getting married, because he has that traditional assumption thing, but the actor playing the ( ... )

Yep, she totally called herself a nerd. Of course, that was in reference to being a Kurt Vonnegut fan, to which I thought, If that's being a nerd, my social status is in deep shit, at the time. (I also refused to remember her name at the time because I was mad about her replacing Elle and flirting with Morgan when they had clearly cut a Morgan/Garcia scene from Revelations. My grudges stand long! :P )

I would totally buy her as a Doctor Who fan, though, especially because she spent so much time in Europe. This has serious potential. Hmmmm.
