1) My application to re-take the bar is in the outgoing mail bin! I have procrastinated on this because...I don't mind taking the bar so much, but the three months of feeling guilty for doing anything other than studying for it is going to kill me. I didn't study enough last year, so I'm sure I will overcompensate this year. I am just hoping ( Read more... )

I don't know yet! I was looking at this electric one online because it was pretty cheap. And electric. But the guys at work think I should get a non-powered one because it's cheap and my lawn is not very big. The battery-powered ones are too expensive. There's a gas-powered one in the garage (left there 2-3 owners ago) but my BIL thinks it may be more trouble than it's worth. It's kind of old and decrepit. So I don't know. If I get the electric one, I'd also have to get a long extension cord (it is NOT INCLUDED, which totally baffles me) and make sure I didn't run over it.

Neuton, which made my sister and BIL's battery-powered mower, makes a non-powered (me-powered?) mower that looks more effective than most of them but I think I'd have to move to Vermont or order one online since they don't seem to be around here.

YAY GO YOU FOR RETAKING THE BAR EXAM!!!! OVERCOMPENSATE WITH AS MUCH STUDYING AS POSSIBLE AND THEN ROCK THE HELL OUT OF THAT EXAM!!!!!!!!!

And yes, she would. Any woman who gets hit by a truck and then keeps chasing down the bad guy, shooting the whole way, would definitely not let a little thing like the bar exam keep her down.

The hilarity is heightened when you know that he goes to bed at 9pm and owns two pugs. And he's only 28.

You know, I get the feeling there are a lot of ex-military guys like this; it's a combination of having all of that discipline instilled in them at a formative age, and gratitude for being home.

YAY! BAR EXAM! I hate the unnecessary angst, but, in the grand scheme of things, a few months is SO minimal. You are going to rock it SO HARD.

Haha, you will hate it more when it becomes the subject of daily emails and posts! :D You are right - I almost don't even remember last year. Just the hazy impression of failure to act and the year-and-a-day rule and a lot of time at burrito places.
