1) My application to re-take the bar is in the outgoing mail bin! I have procrastinated on this because...I don't mind taking the bar so much, but the three months of feeling guilty for doing anything other than studying for it is going to kill me. I didn't study enough last year, so I'm sure I will overcompensate this year. I am just hoping ( Read more... )

ooo! I registered for the NY Bar and have to register for the NJ bar. And like you, I need to pass this time. Unlike you, I don't have a current job, so I think you might be ahead of me in that regard. Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job you wanted though.

Good luck on the bar studying. We can commiserate together as it gets closer.

1) W00T! Go you!! (*hates on James Webb as well, for very good reason*)

2)/3) Potluck months where no action on your part is required are kind of the best win ever. Also, he totally is 28 going on 50. All he needs is extended conversations about the state of his lawn. :D

4) How went shopping?

I did tell you he managed to get himself elected the head of his condo association's grounds committee, right? And the first thing he did was take a dude's illegal grill away.

I still don't know what to get. Wal-Mart didn't have the electric mower I liked. The Home Depot employees are jerks. Co-worker A thinks I should get a non-powered mower. (I spent a while thinking Co-worker A was an asswipe and trying to tell me to get some exercise, because I really wanted the electric one, and then I got on the bandwagon, except BIL hates the non-powered ones and thinks they do a crappy job.) So I have some prices for non-powered ones, I have a lingering lust for the electric one, and I have Kerrie's suggestion that I ask the woman next door which lawn service she uses and see if I can get the guy to cut my lawn whenever he comes to do hers. Also I have grass that is getting to wading height. BIL suggested Craigslist. I am off to look.

1) Okay, that can be substituted for the lawn. Oh, COWORKER.

2) Good luck. :D In a pinch, I can throw my electric one in the car and bring it over of an afternoon....
