When We Were Awesome

These never seem to work for me; maybe it's my timing. But let's try it. I'm rolling my eyes over the arguments about how we should feel about various SGA storylines and how we should be reacting, what reasons we have for watching SGA, etc. etc ( Read more... )

sga, when we were awesome

Okay, don't kill me... I love Larrin. She cared about her people, she didn't give up in the face of Sheppard, and she thinks about political consequences while leading what's essentially a ship-bound small town. If she wants to wear low cut corsets, I can't help thinking that like Teyla there's no way in hell she didn't *earn* the cred to pull it off.

Ditto the Larrin love! I love that she's all "you're mighty cute Sheppard, but I got bigger fish to fry right now!"

Oh, definitely, she cared about them all except for the two dudes she was willing to just sacrifice to death by excessive radiation along with Sheppard.

and she thinks about political consequences while leading what's essentially a ship-bound small town.

Yeah, like she thought long and hard about the political consequences of kidnapping and physically abusing the military commander in charge of an unknown and possibly powerful planet. One that could have declared war on her and her entire people for kidnapping/abusing/killing (if it had come to that) him. Think about what would happen if someone kidnapped, say, one of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff here on Earth and held him hostage for days. Do you honestly think that would have a good outcome and that the U.S. would be willing to ever form an alliance with the group/nation in charge of the kidnapping?

If she wants to wear low cut corsets, I can't help thinking that like Teyla there's no way in hell she didn't * ( ... )

Dude, this is sadly lacking in squee. The part where I said, "I am over the negativity," pretty much meant that I am, in fact, over the negativity. Let's talk about someone or something you do like.

Thilana. Thilana in "Line in the Sand", every minute of it. More people should watch that one. Just, yes yes yes.

Thilana. Is Thilana the awesome WOMAN OF EXTREME BADASSERY who hid Teal'c from the Ori while Cam patched up Sam in an entirely unsanitary and out-of-phase way? Because that actress has the most beautifully shaped head and face I have ever seen on a human being.

*points to icon* Teal'c approves.

She does have pretty hands - and I love that her hands look like she does actual work with them. Short nails, strong, etc. And I LOVE her face in the kicking-Ronon's-ass picture. Between the smirk and the hair all over, it's clear it's a well-fought victory and that makes me happy.

Thanks for playing! Drop by any time, especially with pretty pictures like these!
