Aveda for moisturizer. It's expensive -- more so cause I have to get the sensitive one -- but it's worth it and it lasts months. I've had mine since April and I'm barely halfway through it, and I use it every day.

I love it, it's the only thing I've ever found that's gentle but actually does what it promises.

And I tend to Origins for facial washes -- still not cheap, but they've got a broader range.

The All-Sensitive one? I can maybe deal if it lasts that long. :)

I'm always frightened away from Origins by that giant poster of the bearded guy but I like that they have lots of options. Thanks!

I second the Oil of Olay vote, with an even more lowbrow note that I use the knockoff "Oil of Beauty" brand (which the Spouse calls "Oil of Ugly", but With Love)

I like it because I'm sensitive to scents and extraneous stuff, and it doesn't seem to have anything I can't tolerate...

*cracks up* Is this a generic that one can find anywhere or is it specific to a store? (Like Target has their brand and CVS has their brand, etc.) I never thought of myself as terribly sensitive to stuff, but considering my skin is Not Red when I'm gentle with is, I probably am too. :P

hmmm. Yeah, it's a generic brand, but I forget where I get it. I want to say...Wal-Mart? I bet that CVS and Target have their generic brands too, though. I'd compare ingredients with the Oil of Olay and then have at it, if it passes muster.

Lush, omg. I get my shampoo from them. Stout and cognac and lemons and it smells so good.

I've heard that you could use things like mashed avocado or olive oil for relieving dry skin. Try Googling for oil-based homemade acne remedies; some of those may do what you're looking for. At the very least, they could be good moisturizers and just help keep blemishes away on the side.
