As I sit here counting the red, burny-feeling scratches and nicks all over my ankles and calves, I’m cursing that friggin cat. I don’t care how adorable he is or how loud he purrs. So, I no longer want to kill the kitten
I stopped wanting to kill little Joey two nights ago when I got up to pee at about 4am and found him sitting in the hallway all alone, having been shut out of all the air conditioned bedrooms for the night. I got another one of those dreaded calls from my mother yesterday, the kind where I knew she had been crying.
Less than three months after her sister passed, looks like her brother will be gone too. Both of her siblings gone in the same year. Fuck.
