Well uh...I've been wondering since the whole incident with the books.
You think it would be okay if I worked off and helped you to pay for damages? I keep thinking about it, and Caliburn says it's a good idea to offer my services and a 'test of character'. [He moves his hands as he says that.]

Indeed, Volgin was aware of who were in charge of the library facilities. Of course, Volgin was not quite going to make himself painfully obvious when trying infiltrate these facilities with both of his targets being on its payroll. Conclusively, it was going to be a bad idea against outright murdering both, as easy and accessible as the option was, when his own continued living of his second life hinged on his employment.
Being run out of the school would only end in separation from his Ivan, and whatever his silly fancies had him bringing into the dorm. He could stand the silly fancies and that eye sore of a pet bed.
An eye sore was an eye sore. Maybe not.Meanwhile, being seven feet tall and trying to conceal himself was a task in itself, but he kept his head low and walked like a citizen and a student (he was going to be a student this semester, yes). He could try for their blood later, observe now, be the patient man he was; they still had answers he needed. Being out of his place of power and in a state to never be trusted,

...NO, WAIT, he was clearing out the book return box. Definitely nothing fishy going on there. He went back to the desk and made like he was filling out some of the files for the books, which was also totally normal. He left a few books on the desk and left to put the other ones away. This must have been really interesting for Volgin to watch. Totally.
BUT LOOK! Inside one of the books there was a love note where the little file card goes. It said "Meet me in the office" and Ocelot was creeping his way inside.
To get more. Papers. Yeah. Nothing to see here. Really.

Ever since Ashley saw that sign on the restricted section, she wanted in. Completely unsatisfied with the magical texts (very basic and instructive in nature) in the general sections of the library, the young witch was positive there were much more interesting things in that room. And she wanted them.
The only problem would be getting in. Ashley didn't have much regard for authority, but if all she needed was permission, she might as well roll the dice and ask before trying to sneak around and get herself in trouble.
She approached the desk and cleared her throat to catch the attention of one of the librarians.

Cyrus entered the library at exactly 9 am and 13 seconds, a pile of science books in his arms. He dumped the books at the desk and headed up to the Religious Non-Fiction area without a word.
EVA watched the man enter the library at exactly 9 AM and 13 seconds, with his books in his arms. As he dropped the books on the desk, she got up to inspect. All science-related. She watched him disappear into the labyrinth of books before she decided to follow him.
"Can I help you find something today?" she asked, once she had found him in one of the many Non-Fiction aisles.
Otacon. Otacon was trying to sneak in the library. He was wearing the bandana Snake had given him and humming a theme song, hiding behind bookcases, trying to get to his target...the anime section.
So why was it so far away from the entrance, and why was it in children's fiction.
Unfortunately for Otacon, EVA had become a master at somehow sensing his presence. She had actually been on the second floor when the hacker entered the library. The opening and closing of the library door had caught her attention. She glanced over her shoulder and caught Otacon ... sneaking into the building. Wearing a bandana.
She had two guesses as to where Otacon was headed. But she was banking on the second. And so she made her way to the Anime and Manga.
He was the master sneaker! No one had seen him! A little more loudly, he hummed the theme and arrived at his destination....Snake's mother there in front of him.

"Need help with something?" He asked and noted the skull. Skulls always meant bad news.

"We've got books on just about everything," she replied. "Are you looking for something in particular?"
