Indeed, Volgin was aware of who were in charge of the library facilities. Of course, Volgin was not quite going to make himself painfully obvious when trying infiltrate these facilities with both of his targets being on its payroll. Conclusively, it was going to be a bad idea against outright murdering both, as easy and accessible as the option was, when his own continued living of his second life hinged on his employment.
Being run out of the school would only end in separation from his Ivan, and whatever his silly fancies had him bringing into the dorm. He could stand the silly fancies and that eye sore of a pet bed.
An eye sore was an eye sore. Maybe not.Meanwhile, being seven feet tall and trying to conceal himself was a task in itself, but he kept his head low and walked like a citizen and a student (he was going to be a student this semester, yes). He could try for their blood later, observe now, be the patient man he was; they still had answers he needed. Being out of his place of power and in a state to never be trusted,

...NO, WAIT, he was clearing out the book return box. Definitely nothing fishy going on there. He went back to the desk and made like he was filling out some of the files for the books, which was also totally normal. He left a few books on the desk and left to put the other ones away. This must have been really interesting for Volgin to watch. Totally.
BUT LOOK! Inside one of the books there was a love note where the little file card goes. It said "Meet me in the office" and Ocelot was creeping his way inside.
To get more. Papers. Yeah. Nothing to see here. Really.
And so EVA watched him out of the corner of her eye as he went to clear the book return bin. To anyone else, he looked like he was filling out the little files, but EVA had noticed when Ocelot swapped one of the files for a different piece of paper. When he left the stack of books on the desk, EVA glanced at them. Then at Ocelot, who was making his escape. Then back at the books.
She pretended to look annoyed that Ocelot had left a small stack of books for her to take care of. The book with the note in it was on the top, but EVA opened each one to look as if she were double-checking Ocelot's handiwork.
Once she had done so, she grabbed the books under one arm and entered the cramped office. She closed the door behind herself, set the books down on the small desk, and looked at Ocelot. Gosh, they were awfully close in this tiny office together...
"Has he been here before?" she asked, breaking the silence with a quiet whisper.
In hindsight maybe he should've just shuffled off to a different floor, the office was so small he wouldn't be surprised if two people made it explode. Even exploding was way better than hanging around with Volgin staring at you, and besides, he was way uglier than EVA.
"Once, maybe," he said. ... "He wasn't trying to sneak around then." Volgin looked ridiculous. What in the world was he doing. "Who's he trying to fool?"
EVA didn't mind the closeness. In fact, it was a little comforting to be so close to him after the shock of seeing Volgin sneaking around so close to her. Since the boxing match, EVA was even more unnerved by his presence.
She frowned, unable to imagine why Volgin could possibly be doing in the library other than plotting their death(s).

When Ocelot looked at the door, EVA attempted to stare a hole through it as well. If only they still had those weird security cameras hooked up to the office.
"Spying on us..." she parroted. She nearly asked Ocelot why, but felt that the answer was quite obvious. "...What do we do?" she sighed, looking more-than-troubled by their predicament.

"Never let him out of our sight," ...That one was obvious. He was probably trying to figure out when both of them would be alone and then snap their necks, Ocelot was sure of it.
What does a spy do if he's being spied on? SPY BACK.
"I don't plan on it." She paused, staring into Ocelot's eyes. S-so romantiku. "Maybe we should try and stay together," she suggested. "Until he leaves, I mean."
"Count to fifty first. Then ... I'll be on the second floor." With that, she grabbed a book from the desk and exited the office. Immediately, she began to count. She set the book on one of the swivel chairs, and made her way towards the closest staircase.
He waited until EVA was gone and then he was a-counting. Not out loud because that would be dumb, but when he got to 50 he ducked out of the office, picked some books up off of the front desk, and made a beeline for the stairs. Obviously he was just. Putting books away. Not staying as far away from Volgin as possible, no sir.

"More importantly, what is he doing?"
