Weavile could hear her approach before Misty knocked on the door. He was quick to greet her. Although he was surprised at her arrival, it did not show on her face. Eyes darting to the ice skates, her reason for stopping by was rather apparent.

"Good afternoon," he nodded. That was right, they had mentioned going ice skating since it was getting a bit too cold to use the pool. They had never really agreed upon a date, but now was as good a time as any. "Let me just grab my things and we can be off."

"Hi there!" Misty grinned. She let him go off to get his things, and while she did, she also told him, "I brought along some poffins while we go over there. I don't know which flavor you like the most, but... I brought sweet and dry ones! You can just pick your favorite of the two!"

Too bad they weren't magically microwaved.

That was a shame. Magical microwave poffins were the best kind.

"Thank you," Weavile smiled. He took the bag from her and placed it on his kitchen table. Sadly, sweet and dry weren't his favorite. As a Pokemon with lonely nature, he favored spicy poffins. But as long as it wasn't sour, he'd eat them anyway.

Grabbing a few things, he returned to the door. He had made sure to buy skates a week or two ago just for the occasion. "I'm ready."

IT WAS GO TIME. "Alright! I know where to find the perfect place, too. It's not too far out, but it's not close enough to just walk there," she explained as they exited the dorm complex. "We're going to have to take a bus. I usually prefer to walk to places, though, because buses are so stuffy!"

Misty also noticed how chilly it was one they got outside. The cold, winter air was slowly beginning to blow in. It wasn't completely there yet, but it was starting to get there. Winter is on the horizon, after all.

Moving at a snail's pace along the ice, Weavile ventured a glance in Misty's direction. It seemed she really wanted to see him skate in Pokemon form. He supposed he should've expected as much. A trainer will always be a trainer, regardless of the location or situation. He didn't find it offensive, simply amusing.

"Alright," he nodded. "Once I'm able to make at least one full lap around the rink, then I'll transform. Is that alright with you?"

YAY. Now clearly Misty was totally excited. "That sounds great to me! Just keep practicing until you think you're okay!"

In the meantime, she decided to attempt to do something classic. She probably wouldn't do it so well, but it was worth a shot. She attempted to skate in the shape of an '8', the classical figure-8 shape. It looked extremely shaky, really, but it was certainly a decent try.

"How did that look?"

Truth be told, Weavile was only half paying attention to Misty's skating. Standing up straight, nonetheless moving around on the ice and not falling down, took some attention. But he managed to look up and catch the last part of the figure 8.

"That was very nice," he replied. "Simply being on the ice is helping your form." Too bad the same could not be said for himself.

Thankfully by now, he was able to slide across the ice without much problem. His movements were still slow and mechanical, but it was improvement.

"Thanks!" Well, that was good to know! As Misty continued to skate, she was being able to get the hang of it, anyway. She was losing that 'rustiness' that she maintained, which was a very good sign. She was really improving, as was Weavile.

After a while on the ice, though, she decided it was a good idea to take a break. She sat by on one of the tables, a bit tired. She'd be raring to go again in a minute, maybe. "I'm gonna be resting for a minute!" She called out. Maybe Weavile would need a break, too. She also had money on her for food. She really wasn't sure whether or not she'd want to eat anything at that concession stand, though. Such greasy food...

"Weavile vi," Weavile chuckled. He nodded and smiled at her. Skating was a lot more enjoyable when you had company.

After gaining enough speed, the Pokemon tried an axel jump. His landing was rather sloppy, but at least he didn't fall. It was then that he decided attempting a triple axel would be out of the question. Sadly, his form was not steady enough for that sort of feat.

He lifted his leg for arabesque, gliding along he ice on one foot. As he maintained balance, he glanced over at Misty. He was curious what sort of tricks she could pull off.

Misty wanted to attempt that! That seemed like a pretty fun little spin. She'd seen professionals do it on TV before, but then again, they were professionals. Weavile was also one with the ice. Was it really safe?

After a moment of pondering, she decided to attempt it. She twirled into the air gracefully, not quite as if she was born to do it, but good enough for someone unprofessional.

The landing was pretty rough, though.

By that, I mean that she fell right on her behind and the wind temporarily knocked out of her. AWESOME.

Upon seeing Misty fall over, Weavile immediately skated over to her. "Wea, vile wea," he asked if she was alright. She seemed fine, if not a bit winded. Hopefully she didn't land on anything painfully or twist anything during the fall.

It was pretty painful on her tailbone, admittedly. Misty had to take a minute to get up, a grimace on her face as she tried to catch her breath. "I'm- I'm fine, don't worry about me. I just didn't think I'd fall that bad..."

She let out a small 'phew', clearly feeling more fatigued after that harsh landing. "I think I've had enough skating for one day," she decided, leaning her hands against her knees and waiting for the pain to subside. That was a nasty hit.
