"Weavile vi," Weavile chuckled. He nodded and smiled at her. Skating was a lot more enjoyable when you had company.

After gaining enough speed, the Pokemon tried an axel jump. His landing was rather sloppy, but at least he didn't fall. It was then that he decided attempting a triple axel would be out of the question. Sadly, his form was not steady enough for that sort of feat.

He lifted his leg for arabesque, gliding along he ice on one foot. As he maintained balance, he glanced over at Misty. He was curious what sort of tricks she could pull off.

Misty wanted to attempt that! That seemed like a pretty fun little spin. She'd seen professionals do it on TV before, but then again, they were professionals. Weavile was also one with the ice. Was it really safe?

After a moment of pondering, she decided to attempt it. She twirled into the air gracefully, not quite as if she was born to do it, but good enough for someone unprofessional.

The landing was pretty rough, though.

By that, I mean that she fell right on her behind and the wind temporarily knocked out of her. AWESOME.

Upon seeing Misty fall over, Weavile immediately skated over to her. "Wea, vile wea," he asked if she was alright. She seemed fine, if not a bit winded. Hopefully she didn't land on anything painfully or twist anything during the fall.

It was pretty painful on her tailbone, admittedly. Misty had to take a minute to get up, a grimace on her face as she tried to catch her breath. "I'm- I'm fine, don't worry about me. I just didn't think I'd fall that bad..."

She let out a small 'phew', clearly feeling more fatigued after that harsh landing. "I think I've had enough skating for one day," she decided, leaning her hands against her knees and waiting for the pain to subside. That was a nasty hit.

Although Weavile wasn't convinced that she was 'fine,' he didn't say anything. Partly out of disability due to Poke-speak, but also because he wanted to respect Misty's response. Nodding, he agreed that they were done for the day.

"Wea," he pointed towards the tables. It would be best for Misty to regain her energy while sitting down. Getting off the ice was probably the best idea for the time being.

That was indeed a good idea. Misty nodded in a response, finding the idea of sitting to be great right now. She could use the rest. "Alright," she replied and got off the ice.

Once she sat down, she looked over to him. "You can change back, if you want."

That was also a good idea. He followed her off the ice towards the tables. A poof later, Weavile took a seat beside Misty. "Other than feeling a bit tired, are you alright?"

He was no doctor, but he knew a little about physiology. At least he knew enough to hazard a guess whether she had broken or sprained anything.

Misty chuckled uneasily, her tailbone still in pain, but not as much so. She sat in a certain position so she wouldn't be sitting on the tailbone, but allow it to rest at the same time.

"I'm... kind of hurting, but... it's okay! I'll be fine with some rest, I promise!" She didn't want to worry him or anything.

Too bad, he was already worrying. Thankfully she just seemed to be sore, nothing more than that. That was simple enough to remedy by just taking it easy and keeping pressure off the sore area.

"I think perhaps we should head back to school. That way you can return to your dorm and relax." Frowning, he asked, "Are you alright to walk or would you rather catch your breath first?"

Misty gave a smile through the aching and sat up from the chair. "Oh, no, I've got my wind again! I'll be fine now!" She resisted the urge to place a hand on her back, though, once she felt the pain near her rear end. That would go away soon, thankfully.

"Let's go, and thanks for skating with me! It was pretty fun!"

"Alright," Weavile nodded. He was ready to lend a hand or shoulder if she needed help walking. But he would only do so if she requested aid first. He didn't want to accidentally upset her by suggesting she couldn't do it by herself.

He shot her a small smile. "Thank you for inviting me. It was very enjoyable. Perhaps when winter arrives, we should find a safe pond or someplace to skate outside."

"That would be great! Maybe we could find a lake outside of the boundaries of the city and school... but that might be too far," Misty realized with a frown as they turned to the bus stop. "But it could be worth it! I don't want to skate in the lake near the school. What if we fell through?"

Well, Weavile would possibly be fine. Misty was a different story.

"I'm sure we'll be able to find something," he shrugged. "There seem to be plenty of large bodies of water around. There has to be something nearby."

When Misty mentioned falling through the lake at school, Weavile remembered that one winter. It had seemed strong enough. But kids will be kids and someone did something to weaken the ice, thus causing the collapse. Of course there had been people at the time who advised against skating on the lake before the break happened, but as an ice-type, Weavile had deemed it safe enough. Perhaps he wasn't careful enough. He couldn't help but partially blame himself for the event occurring. He hadn't even noticed it until afterward, when everyone was forced off the ice.

Staring at the ground, he muttered, "Yeah..."

Misty caught the somber appearance that Weavile at least seemed to give off. She grinned, as if trying to reassure him. "Oh, it'll be alright! Just as long as we're careful, we won't have anything to worry about!"

Thankfully, she didn't know about the incident from that winter, as she hadn't been anywhere near the school at that time. She hadn't even heard of Smash Academy back then. It was a wonder that she hadn't when Lt. Surge (and perhaps Green) were there at the time. Just goes to show how much she kept up with other-worldly locations.

Oh, and there was the bus. She boarded first and kept the way open for Weavile.

Weavile recognized, and appreciated, her cheerful attitude. It wasn't polite for him to act so moody while still in her company. That was almost as bad as ignoring a companion. He gave a smile to show that he wasn't still upset. Though the smile felt a little forced.

"Yes, I'm sure you're right. We'll just have to make sure the area is safe first. If we can find a public lake where people are already skating, certainly that area would have already been deemed safe by the authorities," he theorized as he followed her onto the bus.

"Maybe! We'll just have to make absolutely sure, but I think you're right," Misty agreed. As the bus began to roll down, she looked out the window and looked to the clouds above.

"We just have to wait for the first snowfall to be prepared. Oh, I'm so excited for the first snow of the year! Aren't you?"
