"Well, earlier this year, ya'see..." It wasn't that long ago, but it felt like forever.
"There was a really big fight in the city. It was huge, destroyed almost everything. Final Destination was just lucky it had a school like ours around to save them!"
Well, Selene didn't expect something like that. A really big fight? Was it anything like the big battle she experienced back home? She hadn't the slightest idea.
"My goodness, I never would have known," She gasped. "I have not been one to witness such a fight apart from ... one I have experienced before," Her expression fell just slightly, but not too much since the battling was surprisingly for good reasons on both sides. That was a long story. "But that is such a shame. I am sure the people here are strong enough for this, hoho~ I have seen many strong faces here~"
She then began to lead him into the direction of the cafe. It wasn't at all a far distance away so it'd only take them a minute or two to get there.
"Oh yeah, some'a the strongest people I've ever met. In body and spirit. Pulled through just fine, I knew they would." War wasn't something to talk about lightly, it was probably best not to press into Selene's past on the subject.
Yeah, it was best not to delve into it, so Selene dropped the subject once they moved on to their next, more light-hearted topic.
"Ah, well~ They mostly serve a variety of soups and teas, as well as large sandwiches," She commented. She wasn't for the sandwiches at all (she found most of them gross, but then again, she was a very picky eater), but she loved soup and tea.
Around that time, they were very, very close! ((They can 'arrive' there in your next tag, if you want. :Db))
"I could go for a sandwich right now." In agreement, Green's stomach grumbled.
And then the White Tea Castle was across the street. He almost passed it, but a waiter dropping a tray outside prompted him to look, and see the sign. "Ah, is this it?"
"It certainly is~" Selene agreed, leading them both to a table with a pretty, lacey white table cloth on it. She took her seat and held up her menu a little, tilting it upward enough for her to read. Hmm, what to order, what to order! She liked their butternut squash soup, although she normally disliked vegetables. When it came to soup, though, it somehow made a FEW things more likable.
"Ah, I believe I am getting their cream of butternut squash and their peach iced tea~" Her favorite! She loved peaches. "What would you like to order?"
Oh god Green, you didn't just go there. You did NOT ask about her homeland. Of course, this wasn't a bad thing for Selene, but it would probably be a bad thing for your poor ears.
"Ah, yes~! I am from the land of Popples, a beautiful place where the fairies roam amongst many islands in the sky. I am the Fairy of the Moon and I come from the moon island in my home, for example~ I also have many friends there from different elements. It is such a lovely place with different animals, too, hoho~ Nothing at all like the animals from here except for those roaming my friend Thiana's home~ Even the birds are a little different in their ways and..."
Blah blah blah blah blah, rambling. Let's have a quick time skip to the end.
"... and I even have a friend named Lip from Popples who also does go to this very school. Isn't that lovely?"
By now, the drinks had already come, but in her rambling state, Selene didn't even notice them yet. What a silly girl.
Green stared, and stared, and looked around the cafe, and thanked the waiter for the drink, and drank the drink. Oh, and he listened to. For the most part.
"That sounds like an incredibly interesting place to live in. I always did enjoy exploring new lands, maybe I could go some time."
Oh Green, any bouts of not listening were out of Selene's notice, so you're in the clear. She didn't mind 'acting nice' stuff, either, so there you go.
"Oh!~ I would very much enjoy taking you. It is a very magical place where no human has stepped into before, but I would love for you to visit, as would my friends from back home~ Hoho, they are very friendly people and very strong-willed. I am very proud of them."
