LJ's likes to sprinkle salts on wound, we all do know that.

It surprised me that I understand about half the things you're saying. Because we certainly agree on the fact that Organic chemistry really sucks to death. Very VERY much. I'm an A-level student and the last few months before our epic exam we're literally crushed under all sorts of isomers and other Organic compounds!

Constantly. I'm a good student, at least I count myself as one but because of my sheer disinterest in the subjects I'm taking, I just pass every exam...gone are the days of educational joy!

Don't feel too bad about family situations. Often its only a matter of time before you can take some of the load off your mother's back. The procrastinator's creed WILL help you!

I keep thinking about how there are people who love the idea of spending years of their lives learning whether the hydrogen faces forward or backwards or that kind of crap. I mean, ok they want to do that, that's their prerrogative, but a chemical engineer doesn't haaaaaaave to know that by heart. If we had to, then there would be no use for chemists outside the areas of research and teaching ( ... )
