[Where or whenever she is, Alice is still true to her faith. So on Sunday morning, she got her drone children out of bed, made them a good breakfast and had them put on their Sunday best. This family is going to church. She also made sure to invite her not!husband, but won't push the subject if he isn't interested.

During the sermon, she's quietly ( Read more... )

[Liz peers over after watching the ceremony with a curious expression]

"Yes? You may, however, I do not quite understand the ceremony... I was just curious seeing how the Gods of the west were given homage..."

Oh.... I see.

I was just wondering if the priest is one of those... drone people.

"Hrm... His soul does not sing in the same way yours does. I do know that this church while always Christian is not always the same kind of Christian as well...."

How strange....

Do you mean it changes frequently? Is the priest always the same?

[Elizabeth goes every Sunday.]

Not at all. What is it?

Is the sermon always so.... bland? One would expect that now of all times would call for something that could bring people together.

I suppose it would. However the drones are in charge of the church so I'm afraid we're all left with rather dull services.

And they change denominations once a week as well.

I see.....

That must make it very difficult to keep a congregation together.

[Someone here is dressed in the white and gold of a higher ranked church member. Too bad he looks like a child.]

Do go on.

I just thought it was strange that the priest made no mention of recent events. Nothing to inspire the flock.

It just seems like now is the time to try and give people hope. I'm guessing he's one of those... drone people?

That would be correct. If you would like to speak with a real father, that can be arranged. Well, a Cardinal of the Church.

Really? I would appreciate it. If it wouldn't take up too much of his time, that is.

[Lancer did not actually want to be here. At all. But he hadn't seen the droned Kotomine yet in his time here, and it was beginning to irritate him. He wanted to make sure the priest was in fact a drone, just to be certain. After all, he didn't trust Kirei Kotomine as far as he could throw him--and at the moment, that wasn't far.]

[So here he was, standing near the door--having only slipped in during the last five minutes or so.]

Yes? What is it?

It's just that the sermon seemed a bit... odd. Very bland...

I suppose the priest is one of those drones. But the church itself seems to have a strong holy aura...

The priest is definitely a drone.

[He said it to himself as much as her, eyes locked on the droned Kotomine. Was he smiling? Creepy.]

But not everyone around this place is. One in particular decided to sanctify the area for whatever reason.

I see...

[She wonders about that tone. He seems almost... sad.]

They sanctified it? That was very kind of them.

[An armored techno-knight is standing outside the church, looking vaguely uncomfortable. Not because it is holy ground but rather because of his own puzzled emotions.]

Yes! No... I... am waiting for a friend.

[he nods to her. A bit surprised the girl hasn't reacted adversely to his enormous size or battle plate. In a way, he is a bit pleased by this.]

[She's seen her boyfriend transform into about 20 different things that are all much scarier than Garviel. After a while, you just get used to a certain level of weird.]

I see. But surely you could wait inside? Or at least go in to have a look around. Maybe your friend simply lost track of time.
