This is my other UC ship, but it wouldn't come out shippery sadly. I think a lot with the Others is a huge power play (in fact the last A/R I wrote was for the prompt Power) and I like to use that in fic.

Interesting spin on the deaths and a the welcome return of Richard. I like you stories with the two of them and Alex's awkward but cold attempts at using him. I think Richard is right, there is more than a bit of her father in her.

I also like how we use Richard. There are few characters like him that seem firmly in one court but don't inherently have a side. He's here and there, charming and cruel, if that makes any sense. Anyway you've capture his ambiguity nicely here.

I felt the need to do some follow up to what happened in that last episode (that's what I was talking about when I said I was already ficcing). And I really want to see Richard back on this show because he seems like a very interesting character. Plus he's fine to write because, you're right, he isn't firmly on one side.
