I love how you write the two of them together. It's very true to character. Also, for some reason, I always love fics that involve Alex's birthday. It's interesting to see how they might deal with it.

I have never touched the topic of birthdays in my life, so this is a big first for me. And I just don't think Alex would like his. But you know Izzie, she'd probably go a little nuts with birthdays.

I have always loved how similar Alex and Meredith can be...and well while Izzie's logic is slightly baffling cakes certainly make my day a hell of a lot better. Perhaps the show just needs a big birthday party episode. :) This was lovely. Thank you!

Alex/Meredith is my other ship, and I can't seem to write Alex without her, even if the prompt I got had nothing to do with her.

As for Izzie, you saw what she did at Christmas -- birthday's would probably be similiarly insane.

*sigh* Although now I really really want a Red Velvet cake anda ll I have is yellow that is set aside for pinapple upside down cake my mother is planning but probably will never actually bake. But if I use it she'll yell at me anyway.

So, back to the story. Very nice. I like how you made the connection between the cake and the cupcakes pre-Danny Fiasco.

See, I've had Red Velvet cake once when I was like 7, so I don't even know what it tastes like.

Also, when I think of cupcakes and cute A/I moments it's always that scene that made me squee and want to cry at the same time.
