Later that night, her kiss tastes like vanilla frosting, and he can’t help but be reminded of cupcakes, false emergency pages made with ulterior motives in mind, and better days.

The cupcake sceen is the sweetest A/I scene ever and when I read this my eyes got a bit teary.

This is an Alex/Izzie fic with Alex/Meredith subtext.

I kind of love you for this.

How awesome, the understanding between Alex and Mer, Alex admiring Izzie logic and the first and last lines, which were both very beautiful.

Well Alex/Izzie is my ship, but Alex/Meredith is my second favorite, so this is how I tend to write actually.
