I am not much of a cook, so my decision to buy both a rice cooker/slow cooker, and a blender/food processor this week is gonna take some hella justification. I unpacked and used both for the first time today. I made myself a banana smoothie - I need to tweak the recipe - and I cooked some rice. Huzzah! Found myself thinking about Australian film in the 90s. As you do. There was a massive surge of funding from somewhere into the Australian film industry at the time, and some fantastic films came out of it. But only a few have survived. Everyone remembers Priscilla, Muriel's Wedding, The Castle. And these are great films. I have them all on DVD. ( Read more... )

After only one quick peek at FB in the last 24 hours, I'm really feeling it. I knew but I didn't really know how much I was on the site. I catch myself going to check notifications every few minutes. Work today was shite. I have a Big Thing I need to do and it keeps getting bigger.
