First real update in a year and a half or so.

For anyone who doesn't already know (mostly old wtf friends, I guess) my girlfriend is jelloisfun. She is wicked awesome to the extent that I pretty much always want to grab her bottom even if she isn't into it and threatens me with serious repercussions. I hope I don't like her just because she reminds me of ( Read more... )

Calling us and suggesting hangouts would be my first idea for remedying that. We can't really invite people here much due to lack of space and activities.

1. your fag lol
2. read this - it's a walkthrough of a 3-player game of TI - see if you can guess who wins. the 2-player one is sort of interesting too for the 4 SECRET OBJECTIVES EACH PLAYER GETS. http://www.preeminent.org/steve/games/ti3/ti3demo/

According to this tutorial and a quick reread of the instructions, we've been playing logistics (and everything else that gives you command counters mid-turn) wrong.

"When a player receives a Command Counter from his reinforcements, he must place it in either the Fleet Supply area, Strategy Allocation area, or Command Pool area on his Race Sheet."

Note that there is nothing about putting them to the side for use next turn. We should be getting them to distribute instantly, which makes logistics markedly more awesome.

Yeah, I saw that a while ago while reading some instructions for Vassal, but I figured it was some variant other people were playing. So I didn't look it up.
I have no idea who decided that it was supposed to be played the other way. I think Sam. He's also the genius who didn't understand that you can't move ships out of activated areas for the first 2 months we played.
Anyway, now we know.

I'm Tom, not Tati. He was also wrong about the Jol-Nar quad-tech as I've learned on the boards today. I remember that both of us read the text that way initially and had to be convinced he was right. I was eventually convinced his interpretation was possible, but I don't believe you ever were. You can only get three, which makes more sense to me. Also, another thing we've had wrong (though minor) - even if you are all tapped out you always get at least one vote on political agendas.
