[ A nod and he sits down next to her. He lets out a sigh, wings shuffling under the large coat from Delta Vega. ]

[She has a sip from the mug.] Most of what I want to do involves a scientist and a baseball bat. First Dawn, now Angel? I know we're supposed to be glad they got to go home but I just feel all stomach-twisty.

I'm sure he'll be fine. He's got a habit of doing well for himself.

It'll pass--it's just? You see, this person also has a habit of going away. You'd think it would start hurting less.

Vodka-based fruit drinks. [Guy comes around the counter to her table, wiping his hands on a dishtowel; he'd been cleaning glasses.] The bite is still there, but you can at least enjoy the taste. You're twenty, right?

Twenty-four, actually. [Yeah, the short and curveless girl is rather short and very curveless.] And one of those sounds great.

[there's a look of relief on Faith's face when she hears Buffy's voice over the book]

Thought you might've kicked off back for more Sunnydale mayhem too.

I've made it a point to avoid craters. Not enough coffee shops for my taste.

[That was about the flattest joke ever.]

Eh, you know what I mean. Losing you both'd be crap.

[aaaaaand that's enough for awkward not!comfort talk, especially since Faith's sad about Angel going too]

Anyway. You know. Sorry.

Don't be. You know the story. Big tragic love, yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line? Impossible. It's easier apart. Probably.
