It's happened. [A long pause and the sound of warm clothing being wrapped around.] Anyone who knew--knows--Angel? He's been sent home. I woke up this morning and all his stuff was cleared out.

[The feed abruptly cuts off as Buffy slams the book shut. She ventures outside and anyone walking by Good Spirits can probably see her sitting at a table ( Read more... )

[there's a look of relief on Faith's face when she hears Buffy's voice over the book]

Thought you might've kicked off back for more Sunnydale mayhem too.

I've made it a point to avoid craters. Not enough coffee shops for my taste.

[That was about the flattest joke ever.]

Eh, you know what I mean. Losing you both'd be crap.

[aaaaaand that's enough for awkward not!comfort talk, especially since Faith's sad about Angel going too]

Don't be. You know the story. Big tragic love, yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line? Impossible. It's easier apart. Probably.

[...and that's the part that makes it 'easier to be apart'? Geez B, if this's the way you cheer yourself up...]

He mentioned that. Didn't really want to talk about it much. Don't figure having that to look forward too'd sit well on anyone after all. You should hear half the doom and gloom coming outta Wes, and he hasn't got the broody thing down half as well as Angel.

I'm pretty sure he was a hundred and four percent wrong about the going back to die again thing. I mean, it's not like I had super-secret spies keeping an eye on L.A., or anything...but I think the time he's talking about going back to ended up as a four inch thick file on my Slaymaster General desk back home. He survived. Y'know, as much as an undead person can.
