The latest estimate I just heard, CNNeurope, that the US East coast may not have enough heating oil for a hard Winter. in fact, it may not last through a normal Winter.
Considering the activities of the no-nuke folks and recent outcry when the eco-folk were told, by their opinion leaders, to support nuclear power, I think that this is most humerous.
