I'm working on a rather longish blog post (dreamcafe.com/words). I'm using WordPress. I'd like to throw in a cut tag for the benefit of those on LJ who don't feel like reading the whole thing. Can someone tell me how to do that on WordPress?

I’m staying with my friends Doug and Caliann in central Texas for a few days. They have dairy goats.

This morning, Caliann got on her goat forum and replied to someone with, roughly, “Goats have different metabolisms than cows. If you feed your goats that nutrient combination, you’ll kill them.”

Saw “Lincoln” today with Jenphalian, Will Shetterly, and Emma Bull.  I can’t recommend it highly enough.  The acting was universally brilliant.  Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln and Danial Day Lewis as Lincoln were amazing, James Spader was a delight, and Hal Holbrook was, as always, perfect.  Tommy Lee Jones stole the show.  The few minor ( Read more... )

Another delightful day at Convolution in San Francisco.  It started with a friend (James) buying us breakfast, always appreciated; then got better.  Hung out with James and Cat and Chris and Trish a lot, talking about Books & Shit.  Did a panel series novels, then one on story telling.  The story telling panel was especially good.  And we came up ( Read more... )
