and I just completed my first run since October. It went pretty well. I'm not at the condition I was then (which wasn't all that great to begin with!) but it's a start. I started off by taking Phoebe for a 10 minute walk, with a couple of 90 second jogging spurts (I do this with her about once every other day actually) before she'd had enough and wanted to go back in. I then went out on the most random running route through my town, down alongside Cooper River Park, and then back through my town again before ending up back home. I alternated about 2-3 minutes of jogging with about 60-90 seconds of walking, and I feel pretty good! I even busted my XM-2-Go out of it's dashboard prison and took it on the run with me, which was nice, as I've never actually run with music before. Then I came back home and took Phoebe for a quick 5 minute walk as part of my cool down (it would have been longer but she said a very emphatic NO to this). I did some mild stretching and pushups beforehand and ended with my my daily crunches and calf raises just afterwards.
I think I can do this.
Now to get my bike back from my Mother's and find a pool...
I do need to get a decent pair of running shoes too, as the cloest things I own are meant for nothing of higher impact then walking. And now my feet hurt!!
