Today's job interview went well. It was a pretty typical California community college gig: it lasted about 45 minutes, including a 15-minute teaching demo, followed by nine questions. My new rule: each week must contain an Academic Sabbath in which no academic work is attempted. It can fall on any day of the week, but it must be observed to keep the devil crazy at bay.

I just realized this is the first time I've posted about the election this year.
