And now the waiting
Today's job interview went well. It was a pretty typical California community college gig: it lasted about 45 minutes, including a 15-minute teaching demo, followed by nine questions. They had me do the demo first, which allowed me to start on a high note. It went well enough that there were a couple of small cheers from the search committee once it ended. As for the questions, I think I did reasonably well with them. There was a little rambling while I figured out what to say next, and a few places where I dropped vague platitudes instead of specifics, but overall I think it went very well.
The dean told me to expect word by early next week, so now we wait.
