I liked Sid/Michelle too! Never was a big T/M fan. It's funny, because even though TM and CE share a lot of parallels plot-wise...a lot of CE fans I've met have been SM fans lol.

IA about Mike being able to convey his feelings for Michelle correctly with SM. :)

And I really love how Cook is a bit of a mix of Chris and Tony, which is probably why I love him so much
Same. He's definitely a mix of both, but also a unique character on his own. Love him!

Oh I agree about the chemistry. And I think Jack did a much better job at portraying longing and lost love.

Sid is amazing.

Agreed.

I doubt that just because they share similarties means it's hinting at them being endgame~. I've noticed Cook/Effy shared a similar scene to Sid/Michelle as well which were the non-endgame ship (i.e. Michelle waking up in Sid's arms and Effy waking up in Cook's) and both are the people neither were actually in love with at the time they just looked to the other person for comfort when they were lonely and had no one else, and then Freddie/Effy have a scene similar to Tony/Michelle who were the endgame ship which is the love confession over the phone in the finale. I honestly can't see them ending with one particular ship, the fanbase is too divided. Effy will probably be single and alone.

And as for Cook's pictures, tbh, that scene reminded me of the pictures Tony took of Abigail who were quite possibly the furthest thing from endgame, and I recall Sid also had creepy pictures of Michelle on his phone.

But, we're talking about Cook here. And he fookin' looves her, so.

Aaand he's basically the male lead on the show (ala Tony) :P, so.

I couldn't agree more! That's probably why I loved it so much.

I totally caught the Mad Twatter reference. At first, I thought he returned!

oh, so that's the reason effy suddenly looks like a carbon copy of michelle. no, jk.

as a huge t/m shipper from the start (hey, i'm shallow and they were pretty) who stuck by them every step of the way, i really don't see the resemblance with cook/effy or freddie/effy. then again, i began series 3 thinking cook and freddie needed to take a hike, because i didn't think either of them deserved her. i finished the series wanting to pull a katie and choke effy, as i don't believe she deserves the boys. or, more like, she doesn't deserve cook. i don't like the way they're writing her character and i really hope the triangle end the series as friends and nothing more. i feel like cook needs to realize he can be happy without effy (or freddie).

she doesn't deserve cook
IA. Who would've thought that this would ever happen with Effy's character? I really hope that they're writing her like this on purpose, so that she can go back to her amazing real self by the end of the series.

i feel like cook needs to realize he can be happy without effy (or freddie).
I genuinely believe that this where they're going with Cook. But that doesn't mean that he still won't have feelings for effy (and freddie) by the end of the series, but I think he'll be at a point where he's matured enough to be happy without them. So that "having them" in his life is just icing on the cake.

i really hope the triangle end the series as friends
I think it will end this way, with them all technically just being friends -- but, since JB hinted that there will be a clear endgame (CE or FE), I'm guessing that Cook/Effy whichever couple is endgame get something hopeful but open-ended conclusion.

not sure how that's gonna work out, though. or actually be believable (for those who, like me, have never shipped them). if we go by spoilers, it looks like effy's going to be mental for the entire series and have issues with freddie and then by the 7th episode, cook is gonna step in again. maybe it goes differently, but i feel like that's not enough time. i don't know, maybe it does go differently, but it'd rather have tony stop by and whisk effy away than have her end with freddie or cook. i'll settle for an open-ended conclusion, or maybe some kind of "we love each other, but it's not the right time" sort of deal.

That's how I think it'll probably play out. Obviously, right after having your relationship (FE) fail, and escaping a mental institution and being de-brainwashed...is not the ideal time to start a whole brand new relationship (CE) lol. So, like you said, I could see them doing a "we love each other, maybe we can get together in the future" type of ending.
