Andrew - What the hell's going on here?

Me - *lying on bed rubbing ta-tas* My titties hurt so bad!

Andrew - Then rub titty cream on them.

Me - Is there such a thing??Am I the only one who thinks adding "presentation" to wedding invites is incredibly tacky? For those of you not familiar with the term, it's the bride and groom's way of asking ( Read more... )

Honestly, 90% of anything to do with weddings is tacky. We specifically asked for NO gifts on our invites. Most weddings now seem to be more about out-doing everybody else with how awesomely badass your wedding will be. Fuck that. And while we're on this, socials can lick my balls too. (Unless they're for like, charity or something. those don't bother me). But seriously, if you can't afford to pay for your wedding on your own, then cut costs and budget better. Don't expect all these donations and shit from your social. Rediculous. And don't EVEN get me started on showers. Both bridal and baby. (which sorta makes me a hypocrite because I had a baby shower, but that was more to avoid the disappointment that would inevitably come from the Mother in law).

Anyways... hahaha fun times with dreds!

I agree with everything you said. I fucking HATE showers! I think they're so tacky and lame. If you want to get a person a gift (for bridal or baby), great, go for it. You don't need to have a lame-ass shower to do so. And, yeah, I am so over wedding socials. I find it especially tacky getting invites to socials for people I don't even know. Like, WTF? Why would I want to go?? Charity socials - yes, all for because that's cool. Wedding socials - I only go if it's for family or good friends or buy a ticket if it's family/good friend. Otherwise, fuck that.

I'm hoping it'll be fun times with dreads! I anticipate having days of, "Hate this!" But, really, I've been having those since April and will continue to have them anyway, regardless if I dread or not, until I have a hairstyle I really like/want. This could be a good exercise in patience for myself. ;) *lol*

Dreads what happens when you don't want them anymore, then you have to cut them off, correct taking one back to short hair....
Wedding presentation, i have no problem with people putting that on their invite, you look at it 2 ways, if it is a free bar and you are a drinker then when you present you normally would give enough to cover your cost of your meal and drinks, if it is a cash bar then you give what you think your plates are worth and a little something extra..it isn't a point of whether they can afford the wedding or not, it is a gift you are giving, now one could also give a gift, that would be presenting something to them..
Socials i think are okay but this business of the silent auctions and people going around and asking for donations i don't like, you are making a good amount on your social ( i would think) take a couple hundred of your own money and go buy a few really nice prizes...

To remove dreads you can either: (a) do a ton of serious moisturizing and work the knots out as the hair gets slipperier from the conditioner/oil/hair masque (if the dreads have been in for a long time and/or the hair is very coarse, this may not be possible); (b) cut short and work the knots out ( ... )
