& more plants!
Since my last post about planting, I have acquired 6 more impatients, 1 New Guinea impatient, 1 hanging fan flower basket, 2 fern bulbs, 8 hollyhock starters & 30 anemone bulbs. No, I didn't plant all 30, maybe only 13? I hope we like them 'cuz according to what I read they are there to stay, putting out underground stems and all. Oh, boy ( Read more... ) -
I love spring & planting
So far I have planted 2 tomatoes, bell peppers, okra, green beans, 1 cucumber (which sadly didn't make it, dammit), 2 strawberries, 4 geraniums & 12 inpatients (need 6 more). A coworker is supposed to send me 8 marigolds & I want another but different impatient & a hanging flowery pot. I have 3 gerba daisies that come up on their own every year, ( Read more... ) -
Yay Ren fairs
Went to the big Norman Renaissance fair this Saturday with Ken & the m-n-l. I love Ren fairs, the fun spirit of the crowds & merchants, the merchandise, the sights. It was a nice day for it, 80 degrees but early April, so I forgot about sunburn. Face, neck, forearms are only a bit reddish & sore. J ( Read more... ) -
Dreams
I love how your brain takes things you've read, experienced, seen, etc, mixes them up in your brain & presents them to you as a dream with people from parts of your life playing parts in it. Important ppl or not. For me it is usually the small players that show up, oddly enough. I rarely have a dream with any of my family, Ken or Terry in it. ( Read more... ) -
Back to reality sucks
Got back Monday morning from visiting Terry & Nola in KC. I had an excellent time & miss the stuffing out of them. So much I don’t even like being back home yet, let alone work! What a fun weekend
Had a rockin’ b-day party Saturday. Kenny cooked up bbq brisket, kielbasa, beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, fruit salad, veggie tray, deviled eggs, pie, cake…uh, was that all?
