I had planned to paint my toenails today, but after I removed the old polish, I noticed something disturbing on the nail of my left big toe. It's discolored a dark yellow (the other nails aren't yellow, so I know it didn't turn yellow from nail polish, which happens sometimes), and is separating from the nail bed. :( I have that on one toenail too. It's not pleasant, is it? They sell it over the counter in pharmacies here and in Australia, so fortunately I don't need to go to another doctor, heh.

That is lucky. We can get topical anti-fungal creams OTC, but they aren't as effective as oral meds.

Ah, there you go. I didn't know that, but it makes sense. I much prefer the oral meds for, well... I'm sure I don't need to talk about other things topical creams are used for. But those times.
