I had planned to paint my toenails today, but after I removed the old polish, I noticed something disturbing on the nail of my left big toe. It's discolored a dark yellow (the other nails aren't yellow, so I know it didn't turn yellow from nail polish, which happens sometimes), and is separating from the nail bed.
