Late evening/Early morning. (Hope this is okay~) psyd_seward November 7 2011, 22:18:18 UTC
[A late night in the study meant he'd be casually listening to the audio part of the news, when her name was linked to an incident...The words "Corporate Mayer" and "critically injured" were what most alarmed him, and although he knew the risks associated at leaving after Sirens, at this point in time they meant very little ( ... )

[It's not much of a nap in between check-ins and bandage changes, but it's enough of something to let her doze and recuperate. When the nurses keep coming in to change her bandages, she always wakes up from the tugging and the pain.

She's still not used to the feeling of the burns, even as they heal. Her entire body feels like it's gone through one of the most rigorous training sessions ever from Slade and Batman, and then like she's been hit by a bus. It'll go away, she knows. The medicine helps. But that's the one thing she hates. She doesn't want to be entirely absent of pain. She doesn't want to feel like she's fine. The crash back to earth will be just a bit more painful that way.

Re-l opens her eyes when the nurse starts tugging on her bandages and she looks over at the woman for a moment. She turns her eyes to her visitor and raises an eyebrow. It only takes her a few moments to realize who it is. She slowly sits up.]

I don't need anymore of that. A little pain won't hurt too much.

[She half-smiles.]It's still dark out. ( ... )

[The pale features of a man who'd been awaiting a loved one's death sentence was angled towards her when she began to stir, the circles beneath his eyes speaking for themselves as to how he'd been waiting to hear of her condition. Now that he was made aware of the incident in exact detail by one of the nurses he felt she was very lucky indeed to be in bed alive.

Even healing, in whatever measure it may have been present, would have been touch-and-go and with the nature of her would-be injuries. But as she'd informed him at the Masquerade her body possessed "cells" which protected her, and helped her mend.

The idea was, of course, extremely odd to him, given his occupation and background. How might the medical community be of use in such situations if...one had the ability to heal one's own wounds? Perhaps there was a limitation to it.]

T-that's...For your physician to decide. I...heard what happened.

[He takes a step back from the IV, jerking his hand away almost as though she'd rather electrified him with her words. Of course he ( ... )

[She can see the dark circles, the hesitation, and the distress easily on his face. She already frowns at the look he gives her as she starts to sit up and test how her muscles are feeling. She stops once she's at an adequate sitting position, wincing.

Damn. Last time her arms hurt like this, that bastard Red Hood had put a knife in her shoulder. And, of course, he was the one to do the damage this time. She'd need to figure out what happened with that.

She brushes her hair out of her face.]

Yeah, I'm sure it's up to them and not me.

[And Daedalus isn't here. Not a good sign. She looks up at him.]

Sit. You look paler than I probably am. How long have you been here?

[Waiting on her. Dammit.]
