Jubilee had looked really scary sick the first time he saw her again. She still looked scary sick, but Franklin knew she would be okay, with Michael and Doctor X around. She was home and getting better. She was tough too.

The 7 year old was eager to help, running to get anything she wanted whenever she wanted it. Poking his head in, he waved a deck of cards around. "Look what I found! You wanna play a game? I wish I could find some Magic cards."

Jubilee looked up from her sketch. She tucked the pad away under her covers, careful of the lines coming out of her arms. She didn't want Franklin to see the man that had held her captive.

"You didn't borrow those from Remy did you?" Jubilee teased. She knew Remy always had tons of cards on him. She rolled over onto her side and patted the bed. She tucked a banana chip into her mouth and chewed slowly.

"Not gonna take me for everything I'm worth at poker are you?"

Franklin gave the cards a pondering look. "I dunno, I just found them lying around... Well, if he comes asking where his cards went, I promise I'll give them back."

He carefully climbed up onto the bed, mindful of all the equipment. "Nah, I dunno how to play poker. D'you know how to play Crazy Eights? Or War?"

She chuckled and hugged Franklin carefully. She didn't want to tug on anything. That could be dangerous.

"Do I know how to play Crazy Eights? I will have you know, I was the Massachusetts champion of Crazy Eights." She winked. "Before you got there of course."

She shifted, making sure she was braced by the pillows. "So, deal 'em out, and we'll play." Jubilee couldn't help but reach up and ruffle his hair. "You're staying in here with me, right? Otherwise, I'm gonna have to go pout at the Professor."

Erik was curious if his job was in danger. But after this latest thing with the Core Cult, he was on personal leave. He needed it, he was aware but he couldn't help but wonder if it was a way of pushing him out. Right now, he didn't care.

He had a cooler in his hand, with bags of IV fluids and parenteral nutrition on one side, and food on the other. He was more concerned with Jubilee than any complication this might bring. Short-sighted perhaps but he'd never had to search for work and wasn't worried.

He knocked softly before entering, he knew no one else was in the room. "Jubilee?"

ALWAYS! thelittlestbub March 4 2011, 03:21:37 UTC
Jubilee had been trying to sleep. But the thoughts of that... thing injecting her with substances that she didn't understand and couldn't describe to anyone disturbed her quite a bit.

So, after the fourth time that the nightmares had woken her up, Jubilee sat up and was leaning against the wall, looking out the window. She had her arms wrapped around her upraised knees and realized how thin she actually was. Not good.

"It's open." She called softly. Everyone in the house slept odd hours, but she didn't want to wake anyone anyway. "Hey. Time for more doctoring?"

Erik slipped almost silently inside. "A little, yes. Just checking tubing mostly. Are you all right with that?" He was piggybacking the fluids so he didn't need to fuss with the tubes too often - mostly to give Jubilee some privacy and time without being a patient.

Not that he wouldn't have come running if she called.

He looked over her posture and sat the cooler down. "I brought ice cream too, if you want it."

She shifted, presenting the arm that was taped and tubed she was pretty sure within an inch of her life. Then again, considering how skeletal she was...

The mention of ice cream piqued her interest for only a second. "I... don't think I should. I know I need the calories, but pushing my stomach seems like a bad idea." The last thing she wanted was to throw up anything she'd eaten. Getting back into gymnastics was going to be bad enough.

"Everyone quiet for the night?"

late morning of the 4th? loverbayou March 4 2011, 09:39:22 UTC
Remy hadn't stayed in their room that night, hoping to give Jubilee a little more space for a while considering everyone was most likely going to be hovering over her for a while. He was checking on her that morning, and had finally remembered something he'd meant to give her some time ago but hadn't gotten around to. This was about as good of a time as any.

He knocked on the door briefly before entering, keeping his voice low. "Hey, chere." The door was closed quietly behind him as he stepped inside. "Brought you a little somethin'. I meant t'give it t'you sooner, but I didn't want it t'be confused as a Valentine's gift and then it slipped my mind."

The Cajun held out a plush rabbit with a smile. "Cute, non?"

She was already getting restless. Twenty-four hours in bed and she wanted to scamper off and go do something. So, she was sketching again, trying to remember every detail of the lab she'd been held in. Hopefully, Kenpachi could use it to find the bastard and perforate him more than a little.

She looked up when Remy came in and put her drawings to the side. "Hey Remy."

Then, she saw the rabbit and giggled before squishing it to herself. "It's adorable!" She ran a hand over its ears. "Come to keep me company or are you here under orders to keep me captive?" She grinned.

"Yeah, I was told I should replace de door wit' a proper set of bars, but I done lost my screwdriver." Perhaps the joke would be funnier with the knowledge that they had someone around who could throw something like that together with a wave of his hand. Or maybe not.

Remy shrugs his shoulders and takes a seat at the end of the bed. "Just here for de excellent company, petite. I hear dis be de best spot for it." Not that it would take much to keep Jubilee captive, given her current state, but he wasn't actually worried that she'd up and run off anywhere on her own again. Not just yet, anyway.

She chuckled, holding onto the rabbit. "Well, Mags is around here somewhere. Lurking."

Him and the Prof most likely.

"I dunno about being good company, but I'm glad to see you." She scrunched up under the blankets. "So, how're you settling in? I know it's totally way more crowded around here than it was even at the mansion."

Even she didn't need company all that much. Honestly.

mid-day ish? goodshepherd_x March 4 2011, 18:03:36 UTC
He waited sometime until the others had time to visit her before he made an attempt. Mostly, he'd been busy back at work, because he had been taking far too many days off between Jubilee disappearing and the Core-cult message. Mostly, he'd been hired and disappeared and well, that wasn't going to get him promoted out of his residency any time soon. And they needed money, badly.

Dressed casually after getting home (meaning sweat clothes, because he's been too lazy to make his own lately and is stealing Magneto's), knowing most every one was out of the house but unsure of Erik was home or working, he made his way to Jubilee's room and knocked lightly. A pause before he spoke. He hadn't really talked with her since she came back. Other than having about four heart-attacks and an aneurysm over he network message.

"C'mon in." Jubilee was working on some cross stitch that she'd gotten a couple months ago and hadn't had time to work on yet. Or, really, the ability to sit still. However, since she was stuck....

She looked up and immediately put the cross stitch down. "Hey Chuck."

Jubilee hadn't called him that in years, but Logan had started it when she'd first arrived at the mansion.

As he entered he kept his face from twitching at the sight of her sitting - very discomforting - and found his brow raise when she called him Chuck.

"Throw yourself into more reckless situations and I fear you'll start growing claws, as well." Omit the more obvious traits that Wolverine was in the room. He waved his hand. "Forgive me, I didn't come to pick." His voice became a few notches softer. Over the course of the week, he'd found himself losing the familiar tone, and feeling, that was associated with Professor X. His eyes looked dull and his face heavily worn. When he did sleep, he was fighting off nightmarish memories of Sander Cohen's life experiences.

With a sigh he came to sit in a chair across the bed. "Other than plotting escape from the confines of your room, how are you feeling?"

"Pfft." Jubilee made a waving motion with one hand. "All I need is the healing factor and I'd be totally cool."

She smiled slightly. "Would you believe I'm not plotting my escape? I think I'd like to be a homebody for a while." Being experimented on, by a dead guy, kinda meant she liked being home.

Then a sigh. "I'm fine. Really. Underweight, couldn't put Logan through a wall if I tried, but fine." She studied him for a moment. "What's up with you, Prof?"

After Evening Sirens - 4th thecrowingtobe March 4 2011, 19:54:54 UTC
He had shown up the morning after she said she was back. She said to stop by, but when he had she had been asleep. He found a place to sit and waited for a bit, invisible, not wanting to bother her. She looked like she needed the rest, that was for sure. After a bit he decided to leave but not before leaving a small folded up sketch near her bed, so she at least knew he did keep his word and showed up. It was a window with a view, or... better yet to state it was a drawing of a country window with a long vast view of an open field. Just pencil ( ... )

She was supposed to be resting, but what she was doing was reading under the covers with a PAF as a light. It wasn't too taxing and didn't let anyone know that she was up.

The tap at the door though had the PAF going out and her lying down like a little kid caught up after bedtime.

"I'm awake." Jubilee pushed herself up and flicked on the light. "Though, seeing you would be nice, Claudio." A grin. "I don't like the whole ghost thing you seem to like doing."

When she spoke he let out a little sigh, stepping clear into the room, trying not to chuckle at her comment. First, laying in bed like a child hiding the reading, then telling him to stop ghosting.

He did just that though, coming into full view, hoodie up, bag over his shoulder and sleeping gray cat just resting inside. He pulled his hood back and looked her over, coming in closer. "Yeah, well... didn't want to bother you if you were asleep. I keep coming back at odd times. Besides... this ghosting thing is a life saver."

He mostly did that because he was avoiding the older men, for a little bit. The incident with Sander Cohen and the group that went after him had him a little... guilty. But he hadn't talked much on that, if at all. Still, he'd wanted to see the girl.

"You... gonna be honest here, you look like hell, but seeing you 'round is a huge relief." He looked tired, a little worn out, but truly a lot more relived then anything else. Standing near by he glanced at a shoe, mumbling. "You really alright?"

Jubilee wondered what was wrong. She remembered that Claudio had died, and now, here he was. That could only be a good thing. She patted the bed, near her feet.

"I'm not the only one who looks like they need a good night's sleep."

Then she smiled a bit. "I'll be fine, Claudio. This is all because I lost too much weight and they have to feed me a lot of calories so that I not only get what I need, but start gaining what I lost." She watched him. "You need an ear?"
