[Griffin feels like a tool. Employment is weird and he's not sure if he likes it. For one, he's standing by a bar and he can't order anything from it. And what kind of name is "bouncer," anyway? Well, maybe it will get better once he actually gets to do something besides stand off to the side and watch for trouble.]

[He heard this guy talking earlier and it rang a bell, sounded like someone he's heard on the NV... talking to him, specifically. So for now he's just sizing the guy up from a decent distance.]

[Griffin has developed a sixth sense for knowing when he's being watched. A lot of people have watched him over the years. He just feels the stare coming from that guy. One of his fellow security team members, judging by the (blessedly simple) outfit. After a while and everything's still smooth sailing, Griffin gives the guy a look that just says 'What?']

[Alex doesn't really like that attitude he's getting from this dude, regardless of whether or not it was intentional. He simply glares back at him - they're supposed to at least tolerate each other, but he's not in a great mood tonight.]

[Desmond's behind the bar, serving drinks with what's probably a hair too much enthusiasm. Mixing is one of his only "natural" talents, and it's seemed like forever since he last did it. For the first time since showing up in Siren's Port, he's actually enjoying himself.]

[ALMOST ALL OF HER GROUCHES ARE HERE (or better be here). And where there's grouches, a LAUGHING BEAUTY IS SOON TO FOLLOW.]

[Well, at long last, Sarina finally quit her job at Coconut's. In spite of her constant complaints about the job though, the fact was that she was actually pretty well-liked within the restaurant, so naturally her co-workers insisted that they have one last night out

[Alex eventually gets the time to wander over to her. He's not really one to just hang out and do small talk, but he at least wants to acknowledge that she's here. Sarina is, after all, practically his only "friend". Besides that, she'd been giving him information about a new corporate takedown plot.

He approaches, giving her a little nod as he does.]

[And there's her favorite person ever. Had she known he worked here, she would have come without any coaxing from her co-workers...who were off doing their own thing by now anyway.

It was always a little weird greeting him, just because she wasn't quite sure what was okay with him. Even if he was the person she felt the closest to, he was still damned hard to read sometimes.

She didn't have to fake a smile though, as she gave a slight wave to him.]

Hey you! Teehee~! You--

[...work here? No, that would be a stupid question.]

[Alex comes a little closer, shoving some people out of the way - not hard, just enough to get them to move and give them some space. His eyes stay locked with hers, looking at her intently.]

You mean tonight?

[Croc still isn't used to being in big crowds of people, but he's here and he's behaving himself. He's gonna be keeping an eye on things. Part of him kind of wishes someone would cause some trouble, just so he could have a bit of fun.]

[Oh hey! It's that guy that she pissed off the first time she spoke to him, because she thought he was an alligator!

Regardless, they had since had formed a sort of friendly acquaintance with each other -- he had even given her some good (if not flawed -- although she was hardly the type to call him out on it) advice!

So when the rather unique looking man crossed her vision (and not even she was spacey enough to miss him), she gave a shy sort of wave. She had never met him in person, but it was nice to at least give a polite greeting, right?]

[a little timidly:] Hey -- heheh -- it's been a while, hasn't it?

[Indeed, she was pretty sure the last time she spoke to him was shortly after getting her cat.]

[Oh hey it was that girl with the cat that he gave bad advice to before.]

[He waved back.]

Yeah, been keeping ta m'self lately. I've been pretty busy, how've you been?

Not too bad, heheh -- finally quit a job that was giving me a hard time.

How do you like it here?

[Definitely a nice place, Yoruichi would say. Classy without being pretentious. She can work with that. Even with the series of horrific murders going on lately, life still continues for her and others. She's not one to feel guilty for enjoying herself. She and business can reacquaint themselves later. Or even here, and she would not object.

[As it is, she's currently observing the atmosphere from the bar, glass sitting empty for the moment. She's not in a hurry to have it filled again, but at the same time, she's not inclined to reject an offer should someone extend it. In fact, she hasn't had to pay for a drink all night; people are oh-so generous to a pretty face.]
