Urahara did just so happen to see such a strange sight. Interest piqued by the stories he'd read about the Spider on the NV, he approached openly with a smile.
The Spider growled at the approach, but Unicorn made no movement, watching the other man cautiously. One dainty hoof lifted and was placed against the ground again, a movement casual enough to be a shifting of her weight as she tossed her mane.
He didn't smell like a human. "I greet you, sir, and must caution you to tread carefully, should you venture nearer. He is rightfully wary of others in this place."
Not wanting to antagonize either one of them he adopted a more humble posture and although he habitually kept his spiritual presence subdued, he now dampened it completely. (And as for his zanpakutou spirit hidden in his walking cane, well, she'd just have to make do.)
With a polite, if jovial, bow he asked, "may I approach?"
Now that's what she likes - a little proper respect from people who wanted to talk to her. An ear flicked a little, and she bobbed her head once in a nod.
"You may."
A pause as she looked at Urahara thoughtfully. "I know you. You are the one I have spoken to previously, over the human device, are you not?"
[it was the tarantula, funnily enough, that he spotted first-- as the two were in the forest area, a few trees and underbrush hid the Unicorn from sight. he could smell her presence, yes, but it was a thing that wasn't easily pin-pointed - and he felt too much inherent respect for her to sniff her out like he was a dog, so... the tarantula it was.]
[that spider was actually getting one of the most wide-eyed, freeze-formed looks in the world. it reminded him far too much of those flesh-eating centipedes in the dead forest-- and what if it had a taste for wolf?! he should really leave...!]
That is the best icon for that post ever. :DnotamareFebruary 2 2011, 13:10:58 UTC
[ The spider sees the wolf as well, as Unicorn was still a step or two away from it, allowing it the space she would give any other. The spider is, unfortunately for Toboe, hungry. And it had eaten dog so how different could wolf be? One step - ]
Stop.
[ And the silver flash of the unicorn is suddenly between wolf and spider. Despite her unhurried pace and the calm in her voice, it was a surprise - well probably not to them - that she wasn't there one minute, and suddenly then she was. ]
He is a friend. [ She adds to the spider. Grudgingly, it backs off, and Unicorn looks towards Toboe. ]
Do not hold it against him. He is unfamiliar with the nature of unicorns and predators, and thought I would be attacked. [ Which was silly. Unicorns had nothing to fear from lions and bears and wolves and the like. ]
says she who has a glowing Unicorn. ;w; also- sorry for the slow. D: will be missing tomorrow, too.elderyouthFebruary 4 2011, 22:15:51 UTC
… Hi. - I mean, hello. [he’d frozen at the very sigh of the spider, hadn’t unfrozen by the time the thing had started moving. He tried, but- he’d always been paralyzed by fear, and that walrus seemed so far away…]
[- then the Unicorn stepped (appeared) between them, and Toboe’s trance was broken. His tail had tucked between his legs, ears flat to the side- all at once respectful and fearful. The Unicorn was like Cheza, only far more old-seeming; he wanted to please both of them the same, though, and that was all that really counted. That the Unicorn had just called the spider off of him chased his normally happy disposition into becoming quiet, respectful. It’d surely change back, but for now…]
He’s your friend, too? [ears raising curiously, hesitatingly. - Wait. And she called him a friend?]
[- see. That fearfully respectful feeling was already disappearing.]
Nuu come back peltie ;o;notamareFebruary 5 2011, 02:18:08 UTC
I am friend to all creatures - this one is no different.
[ She didn't mind the fearful respect. She was often given respect from creatures in her home, save for the occasional deer that rudely claimed she was less attractive than his mate. ]
It has been some time since we last spoke. Have you been well treated?
