OTA/A really quick post before I head to bed ridi_arlecchino August 14 2010, 05:49:32 UTC
A red and black themed party? Harley Quinn blended in almost too perfectly in her motley; no one gave the jester girl a second look. They other clubbers couldn't have realized that her red and black costume for the evening was her usual wear. She made her way through the crowd with a mischievous little smirk on her face, keeping a sharp eye out for one person in particular, but nevertheless making an attempt to look like she was mingling in the meantime.

As foretold in his conversation with her, Remus decided to stop by the themed party of course decked out in the appropriate colors. There was no way he was missing out on this party. After all it wasn't often that Moony could be caught actually enjoying himself at such a thing. The closest he came were celebrations for winning a Quidditch match or the House Cup or small private parties for four. Sure there was always some sort of party around the holidays when he wasn't at home but mainly he was the sort to sit and watch others, looking for troublemakers ( ... )

It was a wonder if anyone could find anyone in this group of people. Were clubs always this crowded? It was still... interesting, seeing people dancing, chatting, laughing or just being lost in a romantic (or is lustful a better word) moment. It was... a good experience for her to get out and see things like this, really. And a bit fun.

She had stopped near a wall, over looking the dance floor, her hands on a railing and leaning on it, smiling brightly. Two people had already asked her to dance, but she said no. When one more person popped up beside her she was preparing to say no again and wander on.

It took a moment to realize what was said. Turning to look to the boy beside her, her smile grew larger. "Oh! Remus-san, you made it too!" It was the first time she'd seen him face to face. Pulling her simple red bird mask to her forehead she giggled. "It's nice to see a friendly face."

Remus had keen eyesight, more so than the average human and it only got better as the full moon drew closer so spotting people he was looking for was not an issue. The smells and sounds were a bit overwhelming at times but all it took was a few minutes hanging about in some corner to fix that ( ... )

Which was all very well really, as she had never really danced anyhow and wouldn't know where to start. At least not dances like this. Or perhaps she could, but she might still have refused. None the less, watching over the crowd tended to be more fun for her anyhow. She was a curious one who liked to watch people.

"It is rather interesting, this crowd. I've never been to a club before. Not really. And school parties I don't think were like this." Still though, she looked like she was enjoying herself.

"I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a single person here I think. Well, other then talking to you. It's very nice to meet you face to face." her voice cheerful, she actually seemed happy tonight; no masks. "A very nice friend of mine warned me of shenanigans tonight. I've been so cautious that I believe I've missed anything that might have happened." She chuckled. In other words, the night seemed pretty normal.

A tall, thin figure moved through the party-goers like a spirit. He wore a vulpine mask that covered his whole face and a black, crimson-embroidered cloak that fluttered about his shoulders.

Joker had come as Reynard the Fox.

Unseen to any, he had slid a venom-laced stinger beneath his glove. All he had to do was flex his palm just right and it would stick whoever his hand came in contact with. The stinger was specially designed. It was thin and extremely sharp. The prick was completely painless.

Painless, but deadly.

Beneath the mask he smiled like a knife and slid in amongst the dancers.

((ooc: Joker will be poisoning three people tonight by pricking them as he dances with them. All three with become feverish about five minutes after being poisoned. After ten they get ill and may sit down to rest, at which point they die. There is no laughter or rictus grin, since Joker is not calling anybody out to play with him tonight, he's just messing with the city in general. Also, because he hasn't managed to recreate Joker Toxin with ( ... )

Will be gone most of tomorrow, but if you don't mind backtagging feel free to tag~ theydcallmeking August 14 2010, 06:40:50 UTC
Croc wasn't usually one for parties. They always seemed to end upon his arrival after all. People would stare at him, or scream. Then he'd get angry and begin to tear the place up. Actually... that's how it usually went when ever Croc tried to go anywhere public. But this time it was different. No one in the club seemed to pay him any attention. Which was fine with Croc.

He looked around at the party goers, all of them adsorbed into whatever it was that they were doing. Whether it was drinking or dancing. He wasn't sure as to what he should do, or say. He thought maybe he could have looked for more information, or work... but it didn't look like that was going to be happening.

With a sigh Killer Croc moved on over to a less crowed area of the bar and sat down.

It wasn't like the club was that far away from her second job, and she knew the bouncer because of 'special' reasons from work. Getting in was easy for the pirate. A red shirt and short black skirt was all that was needed to get in anyhow.

She had no idea what this Friday the 13th thing had to do with anything, but people seemed to indulge in it with delight. It was worth looking into. There was time before she needed to be home anyhow and while she slipped her new...erm... found wallet into her bag slung low on her hip she thought she saw someone she recognized.

Of course it was hard not to notice someone who looked like him, wasn't it? Seeing the guy move to a less crowded side of the bar she smirked and slipped around a few other people, towards him. If she was wrong, she was wrong... and would duck out swiftly to save a swift wrath.

Sliding up beside him at the bar she flagged the bartender, ordering a beer, then looking over at him. "Well... hello stranger. Mister Croc, yes?"

Croc perked up at the sound of a familiar voice. He looked over at Nami and gave her a small smile. He hadn't expected a familiar face there.

"That's me, an' you must be Ms. Nami."

He was glad to finally meet her outside of the little device.

Katara hadn't been to a great many parties, personally. Water tribe wasn't really given for the sort of dancing these people did. Although, there was that one time in the Fire Nation... that was actually fun, just the kids, away from the oppressive eye of the Fire Nation Soldiers.

Much as she disliked the reminder of black and red - colors of the Fire Nation - she had dressed appropriately and made her way into the club. She didn't go to dance, mind, but to listen to the music and perhaps mingle.

Christie had called him while he was at the theatre... hiding. The parties going on in the underground were loud and annoying. People in costumes and color and just... he didn’t want to be here.

And he wasn’t at first. He was invisible at first, walking with his NV to his ear. “But Christie... this is pointless. Can’t we just talk about it tomorrow an--- Yes, but if he wants to meet he could jus-but why there?” was the original conversation. Bullied into meeting his other employer at the Major’s Club he didn’t bother to change or dress up. He didn’t bother with the bouncers either. He slipped in, invisible, intangible and unnoticed ( ... )

Whoops, careful! Katara let out a small noise of surprise at the bumping, immediately turning around to either say 'Hey watch it' or see if the bumper had hurt themselves. Being that it had been an accident, she quirked a brow at the stammering.

Aww. "Hey it's okay," she grinned. Poor guy. "It was an accident. Are you new here too?"

He blinked, looking at the girl before him. Didn't clubs have a age limit? She looked... ah... about his age, and he was sure he wasn't meant to be here. Wait, no, he was sure he didn't want to be here. Hell if he knew if he could be.

None the less, he straightened up some, a hand running through his hair to push it back and out of his face (It didn't help any). "New? Ah... sort of. I mean..." Seriously? Why was he so awkward. Oh, right. People. Lots of them. "I mean... new to these clubs, yes. --Too?" Wait, too? He paused, collecting thoughts now. "You're new to... the club, or the city?"
