Much as she disliked the reminder of black and red - colors of the Fire Nation - she had dressed appropriately and made her way into the club. She didn't go to dance, mind, but to listen to the music and perhaps mingle.

And he wasn’t at first. He was invisible at first, walking with his NV to his ear. “But Christie... this is pointless. Can’t we just talk about it tomorrow an--- Yes, but if he wants to meet he could jus-but why there?” was the original conversation. Bullied into meeting his other employer at the Major’s Club he didn’t bother to change or dress up. He didn’t bother with the bouncers either. He slipped in, invisible, intangible and unnoticed ( ... )

Aww. "Hey it's okay," she grinned. Poor guy. "It was an accident. Are you new here too?"

None the less, he straightened up some, a hand running through his hair to push it back and out of his face (It didn't help any). "New? Ah... sort of. I mean..." Seriously? Why was he so awkward. Oh, right. People. Lots of them. "I mean... new to these clubs, yes. --Too?" Wait, too? He paused, collecting thoughts now. "You're new to... the club, or the city?"

In any case, she didn't plan on staying long. The smile remains on her face as the poor boy stammered through his response, sympathetic, "Both, actually. I just got here earlier in the week."

As she said both though he... actually smiled, just a bit. He wasn't one for smiling much either it seemed, but it was relaxing to realize the only person he bumped into was a newcomer as well and didn't seem to want to drag him off to some slave club or something.
"A week? Heh, welcome to the city then. Ah... I'm Claudio." He said, offering a hand from under the ridiculous cape. "I.. ah, really only showed up to meet my boss... but she seems to be busy again." And she was. Chatting at the bar with some friends. Hnn.

"Thanks." She smiled back, even though her actual welcoming committee had been ...less than. Considering it was two of her enemies. Although one has been acting less enemylike than she was used to.
"Oh really? Wait... You work here?"
Reply
Huh? Work here? He blinked, then looked back to the woman at the counter then chuckled looking back to the nameless girl. "Ah, no. Not here. This is the first time I've been in this club really. Ah... that woman over there. I did an art project for her a while back. She calls me for work some times. I ah... actually work at the theatre. It's not far from here." Nor as loud and annoying.
"Ya need a job to make it around in this city. A job in a place like this would drive me crazy." and deaf.

Well that was good for him, but what about the rest of the class? Besides, Katara was a bleeding heart - she wouldn't turn her back on anyone in need. Eever. As if someone invisible (like her mun) gave her a kick in the back, she startled a bit, and uttered a surprised and embarrassed Oh! "I'm sorry, I'm Katara." She offered a hand, "It's nice to meet you Claudio."
Ooo, an artist? "That's fantastic! I never met too many painters back home. Is your talent related to your job, or do you just paint on the side and for occasional requests?" After a moment, she chuckled. "It is a little on the..busy side. I don't know how they do it."

A pause as she took in his expression while he spoke. "Hey, so they like to spend their evenings a different way than you. Everyone's entitled - and it does look like fun." She grins. "Though I understand this sort of thing isn't for everything. The music is interesting, but even I don't think I'd be able to come to a place like this night after night."
"So how long have you been here?"

Looking to her again, head tilted a bit he... frowned. She had a point. It was more the crowd of people that he was uncomfortable with. He was a bit of a social awkward, and his adventures in this city and before he came here just made working with people awkward. Hey, he'd been doing much better lately! But this... was a huge group of people. "I suppose I shouldn't complain. The setting is... just a bit uncomfortable to me is all. I'm not good with crowds." At least he was honest.
"About... ah, a little over six months I suppose? Half a year now..."

Yeah. She didn't want to be out there.
"You've been here that long...all by yourself?" A small frown, and then she shook her head, opting to change the subject. By reaching out to grab hold of his wrist. "Well, if you're uncomfortable in a place like this, then let's go outside." Pulla pulla pulla~

After all, no one wanted to be out in the dark at night if they don't want to.
All by himself? Well... sort of but... "I've... managed to make a friend here." Ah, but she was pulling on him now? He blinked, a little startled, but... let her. his feet stumbling along a moment, being pulled towards the one door that already had a lot of people at it seemed silly. He... stopped, reaching out to take her wrist, if she let him. Very light. "Wait..."
He nodded back to the wall they were near. He knew it was an outside wall because it was the one he came in earlier. "I know a faster way out, if... you trust me."
Reply
A faster way? But...there was only one way - oh, maybe a window or a back door... "Um -- sure I guess." He hadn't given her reason to not trust him, anyway.
