Quite. This place is called Siren's Port. As you may or may not have surmised, it is located in a world separate from the one with which you are familiar.

[Though there's a significant pause, a considerate hum sounds over the feed] A separate world sounds rather unbelievable, but I've traveled a fair distance in my career through varying regions and haven't seen anything quite similar to these surroundings. However, how can you be certain it's different 'world' altogether?

I suppose it's not surprising there is nothing for dimensional travel considering how the arrival is conducted. however, it's unnerving that it seems the only option is to live here waiting for that chance.
