I'm certain anything would be useful no matter how trivial at some point, however I'm currently most interested in a method of returning to my own 'world' if this is indeed a separate one.

The only assured way right now is completely by chance. But the people who seem to do that are ones that return later.

I suppose it's not surprising there is nothing for dimensional travel considering how the arrival is conducted. however, it's unnerving that it seems the only option is to live here waiting for that chance.
