Today I began my occupation as 'Librarian' within the Siren's Port public-access library.
Since many of you are unaware of this service, I took it upon myself to explain basic library law.

The answer is yes; however access to rare materials is limited and restricted.
Access is monitored on premises - rare materials are not available for loan.

How extensive are the city archives? Are there many records kept that aren't public-access?

There is an incredible amount of information within the archives. Everything at the library is public access with library permission - as well as carefully monitored and recorded.
