Today I began my occupation as 'Librarian' within the Siren's Port public-access library.

Since many of you are unaware of this service, I took it upon myself to explain basic library law.

So you've settled into work. Well done, I'm glad to hear good news. I had wondered what became of you, ever since you took off with your bed charts.

How extensive are the city archives? Are there many records kept that aren't public-access?

Those charts were personal and confidential information, it was well within my rights to remove them.

There is an incredible amount of information within the archives. Everything at the library is public access with library permission - as well as carefully monitored and recorded.

You do realize that plenty of patients are kept on file at medical facilities, and that we're bound by law to hold that information confidential, correct? Keeping it on your person is, in fact, an act greater risk. But I doubt you'll be forgotten at Skye, in any case. You left quite the shining impression on our nursing staff.

Interesting. How far back to the dated local archives go?

I don't keep them on my person. I destroyed them.

The nursing staff was incompetent, their opinions are invalid.

To the creation of the library, which was founded when the city was first repopulated.

[He would agree with you on several accounts, Tieria, but he's much too polite to voice it. Instead, he handwaves to the more interesting information]

Repopulated?

According to Sirens Port records, the city was repopulated - wiped out and then populated again.

The records of the library begin 1927, any information on the previous population was presumably lost or destroyed.

Repopulated by the pull? So in some sense, everyone at one point within the past few generations was a newcomer. That's very interesting.
