Generally, resumes are taken on good faith, though it certainly depends on the employer. As we've no ability to prove our prior job experience, some will use this as a reason to refuse to hire Newcomers; others will demand a practical demonstration of one's skills; some, however, will simply take what is there as the truth and accept the prospective worker.
