[ It's been a while since Yako last posted on the network, and there's a lot she could talk about: the nightmares, friends who have passed on, detective work, how glad she is to be back in her own body. Instead, she's holding up a pumpkin to the camera, looking a little too cheerful. ]You know, I've never carved one of these before. Halloween isn't ( Read more... )

Do you think Pino might want to come? [ She'll keep the spooky stories to a minimum, she promises. ]

Pino and Nana. They would have a good time.

I think so too. [ A faint smile. ] Are they planning on going trick or treating?

Keep evil spirits away, hmm? Don't get your hopes up, Yako. [ he sounds about the same as always - he only caught the last night of the nightmares, and as always, he was only interested in them as far as the mystery went. Besides, Neuro, scared? Like that would ever happen. At the very least, he doesn't sound particularly malevolent at the moment. ]

I suppose you do not know much about this holiday either, then.

[ As if Neuro even counts as a spirit anymore. Maybe more like a force of nature. ]

I know about it, but I can't say I grew up with it. I'm not too familiar with the traditions most people associate with it.

From what I have gathered, it involves looking like a hideous creature while shoving your face full of candy. How intriguing. Right up your alley, isn't it?

[ 8| ] Well, at least you won't have to worry about standing out. Are you planning on wearing a costume?

I'm pretty much a professional ghost-story-teller! Well, I was for like a week. Then I got sick...but it's enough, right?

[The spots from the chicken pox aren't as bad anymore. And he's not contagious now. Really. Save him from the boredom?]

[ ... Hey, she knows that voice. And she knows he probably doesn't recognize her, but-- ]

At least you've got experience! This is ... Hanamura-san, isn't it?

Oh. Uh. It sort of is, yeah. But I guess not exactly.

[ She laughs, softly. ] Sorry-- you must get that a lot.

Yako Katsuragi. It's a pleasure to meet you ... again.

You can still eat them, can't you? I was thinking of roasting them or cooking them into something.

We don't have the facilities for something like that yet, but that seems like a good idea. [ She hums thoughtfully. No telling how the Darkness affects things like gardens, but... ] That's a good idea to bring up, though.

Do you have a lot of experience in gardening?

[Caster doesn't think that she'll take part in the activity of pumpkin carving when it wasn't quite her cup of tea, but there was no harm in offering a suggestion.]

Oh, perhaps you could combine it. Make time for both a film showing and that game involving ghost stories.

There's enough time, if it's going to be overnight anyway. [ Thoughtfully: ] I don't know a lot about what good Halloween movies are, though.

I'm afraid that I won't be much help there. [She lets out a soft chuckle.] I can't say that I know very many Halloween movies myself.

Do you know any classics? Usually, they're considered a 'classic' for a reason, so those might be your best bet.

"Classics" are usually the ones the most popular Halloween costumes come from. Dracula, Frankenstein... [ She trails off. ] I might have to do a little more research on this than I thought.
