you know, once somebody i like a whole lot told me that family was something really warm that could come in a lot of different forms. after that, a bunch more people told me it was something i had to figure out for myself. it was sort of confusing since i never had anything like that back home, but now i think that first person and i feel the same ( Read more... )

I suppose I am not really qualified to answer. A family is a group of people with a bond with one another-- one not only of loyalty, but duty as well. There are rights and obligations each member must fulfill.

[ This is hard to explain... ] I would protect someone I consider a member of my family, if I thought they ever had need of it. In return, I would expect them to do the same for me.

But it is not a thing spoken of with words, as an oath to one's king and country would be. It is simply there.
